In this lesson, we are going to learn about slide transitions in PowerPoint and how to apply them effectively to your presentation. You’ll explore the three main categories of transitions—Subtle, Exciting, and Dynamic Content—and understand when and how to use them. We’ll also cover how to apply transitions to individual slides or to the entire presentation using the Transitions tab.

You will learn how to preview and customise transitions by adjusting their direction, duration, and adding sound effects. The lesson explains how to use the Effect Options command to change how a transition appears and how to apply or remove transitions using the available commands. You’ll also discover the importance of using transitions and sounds in moderation to maintain a professional look and keep your audience focused.

Lastly, we’ll show you how to automate your slide show by setting slides to advance automatically after a specific time, which is useful for kiosk or unattended displays. You’ll practise entering timing settings for individual slides and applying them across the entire presentation. By the end of this lesson, you’ll be able to enhance your slides with polished transitions that support your presentation goals.
